Dr. Jianping Xu’s research continues to make waves both locally and internationally, with recent articles in Brighter World McMaster and the New York Post highlighting work from his group. Collaborating with investigators from the University of Delhi, Dr. Xu and his colleagues are working to understand the world of Candida auris, a fungal pathogen of huge concern due to its profound resistance to most antifungal medications.  They recently discovered that this fungus can be isolated from the ear canals of dogs.
