Indigenous rights and resource governance in the Ring of Fire.
This talk will discuss the challenges of development and resource extraction on Indigenous lands at a time of increasing recognition of Aboriginal and inherent Indigenous rights in Canada and around the globe. Specific examples will be shared from research and understandings informed from a case study examination in Northern Ontario’s Ring of Fire.
